Dried Veronica Speedwell acts as an expectorant, alterative, tonic and diuretic. Expectorant in cases of catarrhs of the respiratory tract. Useful for dyspepsia, biliary, and as gargle for inflammation of mucous membranes of mouth and throat.

How to use
Infusion: Pour 1 cup of boiling water onto 1 heaped teaspoon of herb. Leave for 5-10 minutes. Strain and drink twice a day.
Tincture: 1 Heaped double handful of (fresh) herb, in 1 litre of 38% rye whisky or vodka. Placed in the sun for 14 days. 15 Drops in water 3 times a day.
Contains
Bitter principle, an acrid principle and a red colouring matter. Tannic acids, fatty acid, and lactic acids, bitter resin, and alkaloid.
