pH testing strips are used to check how acidic or alkaline a liquid is. They are commonly used in DIY skincare, haircare, soap making, and other formulation projects where pH matters.

Some formulations need to fall within a suitable pH range for performance, stability, or skin compatibility. Testing helps you make informed adjustments instead of guessing.

pH strips work best with water-based products or products that can be diluted with water for testing. They are not usually suitable for testing pure oils or anhydrous products, because pH only applies to water-based systems.

Dip the strip into the liquid briefly, or apply a small sample to the strip, then compare the colour change to the chart provided. Always follow the instructions on the product page or packaging for the best result.

Store them in a cool, dry place with the container tightly closed. Keeping them away from moisture and direct sunlight helps preserve their reliability.
