Coltsfoot Leaves Cut (Tussilago farfara) are traditionally used for respiratory comfort and soothing, especially in cool seasons. The gentle, mucilage-rich leaf is valued in herbal teas and steams to ease dryness and support clear breathing, and it can also be used externally in simple soaks.

  • Herbal tea (infusion): 1-2 tsp (±2.5 g) leaf in 1 cup freshly boiled water; infuse 10-15 min; strain and sip warm; up to 3 cups per day
  • Tincture: 2-4 ml, up to three times daily
  • Inhalation: 1 heaped Tbsp in 500 ml boiling water; lean over bowl under a towel and inhale steam as needed
  • Foot bath: 2 handfuls infusing in warm water; soak feet for ±20 min
