Astragalus Root is a time-honoured herb that elevates tea into an immune-boosting brew. Found in China, Mongolia, and Korea, its flavour is earthy with a subtle sweetness. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it is called Huang Qi – meaning “The Yellow Leader” – for its golden colour and revered status among herbs. For millennia, it has been used to strengthen Wei Qi, or defensive energy, helping the body ward off illness, recover strength, and sustain vitality. It has also been valued for easing fatigue, aiding digestion, and supporting the lungs.
♡ Why we love it: Astragalus is best enjoyed daily, as its benefits come with steady, long-term use. Its mellow nutty-sweet taste makes it a natural fit in teas, soups, or broths. Studies confirm Astragalus supports immunity by boosting white blood cells, improving immune signalling, balancing blood sugar, and protecting kidney health – while also contributing to healthy ageing. It blends beautifully with herbs like Echinacea or adaptogens such as Ashwagandha for extra resilience.
Size: 200g, 500g, or 1kg.
