Cancerbush is a well-known Southern African herb traditionally prepared as a simple infusion with a grounding, herbal character. It is commonly included in daily wellbeing blends and other caffeine-free herbal routines where a steady, balanced cup is preferred. The dried herb format works well for infusion, blending, and simple traditional preparations. In a bulk format, it is especially useful for repeat blending, regular stockholding, and ongoing herbal use.
♡ Why we love it: Cancerbush is one of those botanicals that feels deeply connected to place, tradition, and practical herbal use. We value herbs that are easy to work with, naturally versatile, and suited to simple, low-fuss preparations, and this one fits that beautifully. It also aligns with our preference for single-ingredient botanicals that support thoughtful blending and steady everyday use without unnecessary additives.

Hi
1. Is it safe to use African Potato powder in melt and pour soap. if so, how much per 100g?
2. do you have anything of African Potato derived/extract (in liquid form) that can be used/mixed in skin cream/lotion?
3. Do you stock KIGELIA POWDER?
Thanks
Hi there :)
1. Yes, it can be safe to use African Potato Powder in the soap at the right concentration.
Use 0.5–1g per 100g of soap base
- 0.5g (½ tsp) gives subtle benefits without overwhelming the soap's consistency or performance.
- 1g provides stronger benefits but may affect the smoothness of the soap.
Exceeding this might make the soap gritty or cause uneven suspension of the powder.
Note:
- Because this is a powder, it may clump. To avoid this try stirring the powder completely into a water base seperately and then adding the stirred in powder to your soap.
- This may change the colour and texture of your soap.
2. We only house the herb in its natural or powdered form. We do have guides on how to make extracts, should you be interested:

How does csncer bush works
Hi Motaung
Well, generally you could use Cancerbush the same way you'd use most herbs - you could make a tea to extract the benefits.
Many of the amazing and surprising benefits are on the product page (for more in depth information), but a brief description would include:
- It's an Adaptogen (can be considered calming)
- It has anti-cancer properties and can help with the effects of wasting syndrome
- Flea, bugs and pest repellant
and many more health specific benefits that would change how you'd use it - like a vaginal douche for prolapse of the uterus.
I hope that helped. If you do have anymore questions, please don't hesitate to let us know!
Kind Regards,
Aiden
