  • Often used for digestive problems such as upset stomachs, abdominal cramps and flatulence
  • Has antioxidant properties
  • Can be used as a topical skin remedy to treat insect bites, fungal infections, eczema and psoriasis

  • Boil about four cups of water and add 1 teaspoon turmeric. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes or more. Then strain using a fine sieve. Add lemon for for taste.
  • A popular variation is adding a teaspoon of ginger the turmeric tea
