Traditional uses (internal)
- This is probably the most valuable heart remedy used today. It has an action equivalent to Foxglove (Digitalis) without the toxic effects
- Use for the treatment of heart failure and water retention where it is associated with the heart
- Where there is difficulty breathing due to congestive conditions of the heart
- For heart failure due to long term cardiovascular problems or as a result of a chronic lung problem like emphysema
Preparation method
Infusion: 1-2 teaspoons of the herb placed in 1 cup of boiling water. Infuse for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink. 1-2 times per day. Do not exceed dosages.
