Tormentil (Potentilla erecta) Dried is a tannin-rich, slightly bitter herb traditionally prepared for short-term digestive support. It is often chosen during bouts of loose stools for a steadying cup, and it also features in cooled rinses and mouthwashes prepared from a strong tea. The flavour is earthy and astringent, which many people soften with a little honey. A practical pantry staple for careful, measured use when you want a classic, old-world herb.
♡ Why we love it: Brews into a firm, astringent tea that is easy to prepare at home. Versatile for both internal teas and traditional external rinses, with clear, simple methods.
