Wild Leek (Ramsons) Powder (Allium ursinum) is a finely milled, pungent-green herb made from carefully dried wild garlic leaves. With a garlicky bite that's a little milder than bulb garlic, it slips easily into soups, pestos, dressings and simple herbal teas or macerated oils.
♡ Why we love it: It delivers fresh, garlic flavour without the harsh burn, and the smooth powder blends cleanly into marinades and teas for quick, everyday use.
Sizes: 250g or 1kg.
Uses
- Everyday culinary seasoning for soups, stews, pestos, dressings and compound butters
- Caffeine-free herbal tea component for cosy, savoury-style brews (strain well)
- Macerated oil or vinegar for drizzling over roast veg, salads and breads
- Savoury boost in rubs for braai meats and plant-based proteins
Benefits
- Traditionally used in herbalism for clear-breathing and seasonal comfort routines
- Assists with after-meal ease in warm, aromatic blends
- Naturally rich, garlicky flavour for satisfying, additive-free cooking
