Soothe, settle, and support the body with Wilde Dagga. Indigenous to South Africa and much of the southern African region, Wilde Dagga earns its nickname “Lion’s Tail” from its vivid orange, tail-shaped flower clusters. It has held an important place in Khoisan, Zulu, Xhosa, and other Indigenous healing practices. Traditionally, its leaves and flowers were either smoked for calm or brewed as a tea for colds, bronchitis, stomach cramps, diarrhoea, constipation, and to promote general wellbeing during fevers, headaches, high blood pressure, and even snakebites.
♡ Why we love it: Wilde Dagga doesn’t contain the psychoactive effects of cannabis, but it does feature an impressive blend of active compounds like diterpenoids, terpenes, phenols, alkaloids, and essential oils. These give it chest-supporting, cough-soothing, digestion-easing, and gently relaxing qualities. Many find it mildly sedating and softly mood-lifting.
In topical use, Wilde Dagga extracts help calm inflammation and offer antimicrobial protection for minor wounds, skin eruptions, and insect bites. Traditionally, ointments were applied to soothe eczema, itching, and irritated skin.
Sizes: 200g, 500g or 1kg.
