Iceland Moss Powder (Cetraria islandica) is a finely milled, soothing lichen powder made from carefully dried Iceland moss. Naturally rich in softening polysaccharides, it suits gentle herbal teas, simple syrups and calm, rinse-off skincare where a smooth, comforting feel is desired.

How to use

Herbal tea (decoction, powder): Use ½-1 tsp per 250 ml water, bring to a boil, simmer 3-10 minutes, then stand 10 minutes and strain through fine mesh or muslin

Tincture: 1:5 (herb:solvent) in 40-50% alcohol, macerate 2-4 weeks with occasional shaking, then strain and bottle

Syrup/gel: Prepare a tea as above, strain very well, then combine with honey or sugar to taste; use promptly and refrigerate any remainder
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light and strong odours; reseal tightly after each use.
