Essentially Natural Cocamidopropyl Betaine - Sulfate Free is a gentle amphoteric surfactant used to boost foam and improve mildness in cleansers. It can be used as a primary or secondary surfactant in shampoos, face washes, shower products, and bubble baths, including baby-style formulas. It helps create initial foam and can reduce the irritation potential of stronger surfactants when blended properly. This surfactant is supplied as a liquid for easy measuring and blending.

How to use
- As a Primary Surfactant: Use as the main cleanser in gentle formulas.
- As a Secondary Surfactant: Blend with other surfactants to increase foam and improve mildness.
- As a Bubble Bath Base: Combine with water, humectants, and preservative, then adjust pH as needed.
Processing Tip: Mix gently to reduce foam during manufacturing and allow bubbles to settle before bottling.
Recipe inspiration
Gentle Kiddies Liquid Bubble Bath
65% distilled water
25% cocamidopropyl betaine , or a combination of coca betaine and decyl or coco glucoside
1% Geogard 221 (preservative)
Essential oil of choice, try chamomile or geranium (optional)
5% citric acid solution to adjust the pH
Blend the surfactants together and add the glycerine. Add the preservative to the water, then stirring gently add the surfactant mixture to the water. Blend in any child friendly essential oils and add in the citric acid solution to adjust the pH and you’re good to go.
Let the fun begin by adding a dash or two of bubble bath to the running bath water!

It's the first time I've bought this product and am enjoying experimenting with it with a variety of different formulations.it has a gentle foaming property that leaves the skin clean but not stripped.
For some reason this batch did not foam as much as the previous one a bought.
