INCI: Coco glucoside

Essentially Natural Coco Glucoside is a very mild, non-ionic surfactant made from coconut and sugar. It offers gentle cleansing with rich, creamy foam and is ideal for shampoos, body washes, face cleansers and bubble bath. It also helps emulsify small amounts of oils into water-based products, which is useful for essential oil solubilising in rinse-off formulas. Readily biodegradable and easy to work with, it is a staple in sulphate-free systems for the whole family.

Usage rate: 2 to 25 percent depending on product and desired foam

Phase: Water phase. Pre-mix with a little warm water for easier handling

pH: Supplied alkaline at about 11.5 to 12.5. Adjust the finished product to a skin-friendly pH, typically 5.0 to 5.5

Solubility: Water soluble

Thickening: Limited salt response. Improve viscosity by combining with amphoterics like cocamidopropyl betaine, with gums, or natural thickeners. Add salt sparingly and test

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from light. Use clean utensils and avoid contamination.
