Arnica Flowers Powder (Arnica mexicana) is a finely milled, strongly aromatic flower powder traditionally reserved for topical preparations. Favoured in sports and massage blends, it's used in oils, liniments and salves to comfort bruises, sprains and overworked muscles.

How to use

Infused oil: 1 part powder to 10 parts carrier oil by weight; infuse 2-4 weeks (shake occasionally), then strain very well. Use as a massage oil or as the base for balms.

Tincture/liniment (external): 1:5 herb:menstruum in 40-50% alcohol; macerate 2-4 weeks, strain. Dilute with water (e.g., 1:3-1:10) for brief compresses.

Compress (mild, water-based): ½-1 tsp powder in 250 ml hot water; steep 5-10 min, strain through fine cloth; soak a cloth and apply briefly to intact skin.

Salve/balm: Blend strained infused oil into a balm base at 10-20% of total formula for targeted application.
Storage
Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct light and strong odours.
