Activated Charcoal & Tea Tree Soap

Hi there Heather,
Thanks so much for your comment on the blog – and lovely choice, that’s a great addition to the soap!
Good clay options for this recipe would be:
- Kaolin – the most gentle and a great all-round choice
- Bentonite clay – slightly more cleansing, works well alongside charcoal and tea tree
- Rhassoul clay – adds creamy lather as well as more cleansing feel to it
How much to use:
For this batch size, we’d recommend 1–2 tablespoons of clay in total.
It’s best to first mix the clay with a small amount of water or oil (to form a smooth paste), then add it at light trace together with the charcoal.
As long as the request is made before your order leaves our warehouse, adding items is usually very easy (please note that during particularly busy periods there may be limited flexibility). You’re welcome to contact us via email or WhatsApp, and we’ll gladly assist with updating your order.
If you have any further queries, please do reach out – we’re happy to help.
Warm regards,

Hi there I want to make your activated charcoal and tea tree soap. Which clay and how much should I add to the recipe on your blog.
Could I add it to the order I have just placed.
Many thanks
