I started my whole formulating business looking for something to use as a deodorant that would not irritate my skin.
I am a Type 1 diabetic for 43 years and loss the function of my pituitary gland when I gave birth to my son in 2003. That leaves me without any hormones. (There are many hormones not even identified yet that have key function in our bodies.)
One of the hormones that my body does not secrete anymore is cortisone. (It's even worse than having to much)
I wear 2 insulin pumps, one filled with insulin and the other with cortisone. Without either of then I die. It is quite a shlep some days but mostly I am so grateful for everyday alive and now for my clients who likes my creams and other goodies under the name: Biki liefde.
Getting back to Zinck Ricinoleate. Cortisone use and absence of hormones has a great impact on one's skin making it ultra thin, dry and allergic.
First I made a body powder to use as a deodorant on my very sensitive underarms but I had to reapply so many times a day that it was not a working solution for me. (Now I use it because it smell sooo nice and absorb extra moisture in SA's hot summer months.)
Then I tried making a cream deodorant by mixing my body powder wit a basic cream. That turned out to be a bit better but still needed reapplying.
Then I came across your sample special not to long ago and included this lovely product as part of my order. I read what you wrote on making your deodorant using Zinc Ricinoleate and it gave me the best results ever.
I make a very simple emulsion using coconut oil and hydrosol with montanov 68. I then add some powders like Arrow root and bicarbonate of soda. Then I add Zinck Ricinoleate and that made the magic happen.
I now have a spray on formula that I apply once a day. It not only combat smells but the creaminess does wonders for my sensitive and very dry skin.
I am so very grateful.
Pleased with product, i use it in deodorant formulation
This Zinc ricinoleate complex works great for my homemade deodorant.
Thank you Essentially Natural for a great product. I've been looking all over for Zinc to put in my shampoo, when I stumbled on to your website and I am elated with all your great products. I am now using Zinc Ricinoleate in my Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Spray; what a great product! It is so easy to use. I am very happy with my purchase, thank you. And thank you so much for a very user friendly website and hassle free purchase.
Would like to know how to use this product. All the Deodorant recipes refer to the dry pellets. Could not find a liquid recipe anywhere.
