Pipette Filler Bulbs are pear-shaped bulbs made from silicone rubber for simple, controlled filling and dispensing with glass or plastic pipettes. The flexible material provides a good seal on standard pipette stems and allows fine control with gentle squeeze pressure. Chemically resistant and easy to clean, they suit labs, classrooms and workshops.
♡ Why we love it: Reliable grip, smooth control and durable silicone make these bulbs a tidy, low-maintenance choice for everyday liquid handling.
Sizes: 5ml, 10ml or 20ml.
Uses
- Fill and dispense liquids with serological, volumetric or Pasteur pipettes
- Pre-wet pipettes before measurement to improve accuracy
- Routine transfers in teaching labs and sample prep
Benefits
- Silicone rubber for thermal stability and chemical resistance
- Good seal formation on most pipette stems
- Comfortable squeeze control for steady aspiration and delivery
- Non-conductive, corrosion resistant and easy to wipe clean
- Reusable and long lasting
How to use
- Attach the bulb firmly to the dry pipette stem.
- Squeeze the bulb to expel air, then place the pipette tip in the liquid.
- Slowly release pressure to aspirate to the required volume, keeping the tip below the surface.
- Control dispensing by gently squeezing or releasing as needed.
- Detach and rinse after use.
Care
Wipe with a mild laboratory detergent and water, then rinse and air dry. For rapid turnaround, wipe with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry. Avoid sharp objects and excessive heat. Inspect regularly for cracks or loss of elasticity and replace if worn.
