Boost, balance and stabilise your products with sodium citrate. This white crystalline powder is the salt of citric acid - widely used in foods, cosmetics, cleaning, and healthcare. In food it provides a tart flavour while buffering and stabilising pH. Sodium citrate also functions as an acidity regulator and emulsifying salt in processed cheese - giving that smooth, aesthetically pleasing melt. It’s the cornerstone of rehydration solutions with glucose and salts, and even to raise the pH of urine, bringing comfort for those struggling with acidity.

♡ Why we love it: Sodium citrate plays a major role in DIY. In cosmetics it acts as a buffer in creams, lotions, and gels, and when paired with citric acid in bath bombs it adds extra fizz.
