OH! BOY! BATANA BUTTER!

I never knew that BATANA BUTTER is a miracle worker for dry hair, damaged hair and skin. Perfect for natural hair, curly textures and mature skin!
I use it as a Leve-in -conditioner or Hot Oil treatment as well believe it or not it prevents brittle nails and softens cuticle when massaged into nails!

This is just red palm oil not batana oil

This is not the real batana oil from Honduras. I have it so when I received this I just laughed. This is just solidified red palm oil and not the real batana oil.

Good afternoon Precious,

We’d like to offer some clarity, as we do stock both a raw Batana butter and a cold-pressed liquid Batana oil – and they originate from different regions and production processes.

The Batana butter you received is 100% unrefined Elaeis oleifera fruit oil, solidified in its natural state and produced at source in Colombia. It undergoes no refining or deodorising, which is why it retains its deep reddish colour (as pictured), rich aroma, and semi-solid texture. These characteristics are natural and consistent with the Certificate of Analysis, which I am happy to provide.

Separately, we also offer a Batana oil sourced from India, which is likewise pure Elaeis oleifera fruit oil, but with a slightly different regional profile and extraction process. Both products are authentic and of high quality, though their sensory attributes can differ due to regional variation – much like with shea or coconut oils from different parts of the world.

While our butter and oil share the same botanical source, they are not of COO: Honduras. We aim to always be transparent in our listings, using correct INCI names, country of origin, and accurate imagery.

If this isn’t quite what you were hoping for, we completely understand – and we’re happy to assist with a return. We do have a generous 14-day return policy, and you’re very welcome to make use of it.

Please let us know how you’d like to proceed.

Warmest regards,
Essentially Natural Team
