INCI: Cymbopogon flexuosus

Lemongrass is one of the most popular essential oils in aromatherapy and is great as a skin antiseptic. It is effective for toning muscles, relieving tired aching legs and eliminating lactic acid.

Purifying, stimulating and cleansing, Lemongrass can also help to relieve the symptoms of a variety of stress-related conditions; such as nervous exhaustion, headaches, and even body-aches. It has a strong, lemon-like aroma that can be used to repel insects and works well in open areas.

  • Get rid of cat smells. Just put a few drops of lemongrass in water and soak the affected area to neutralise the smell and from then on cats won't associate it with a proper place to urinate.
  • Use it in soap recipes and massage oils
  • Dilute with water, add it to a humidifier and your whole house will smell like lemongrass
  • Make a room spray or air-freshener
  • Gets rid of cockroaches - they, and many other crawlies, just hate it.
