Dried Hoodia Powder is made from the hoodia plant's stems and roots, which are dried and finely ground. Hoodia gordonii is a succulent plant native to the Kalahari Desert region of Southern Africa. Folklore suggests that indigenous San people consumed the hoodia plant to suppress appetite and thirst on long hunts. These days the powder is used to make capsules, powders, and chewable tablets. It can also be used in liquid extracts and teas.
