INCI: Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis

A global favourite and the national flower of Malaysia and Haiti, Hibiscus is as bright as it is beneficial. It's been used for centuries as a tea, natural colourant, and haircare ingredient, a key botanical in both Ayurvedic and Chinese herbal traditions. Native to East Asia, “sour tea” was traditionally enjoyed to support heart and liver health, stabilise blood pressure, and support overall vitality. Externally, its infusions were used to soothe the scalp, reduce dandruff, promote growth, and calm skin irritation.

♡ Why we love it: Hibiscus creates one of the brightest herbal teas, rich in anthocyanins that deliver antioxidant strength and that unmistakable red colour. Combined with flavonoids, gentle fruity acids, vitamin C, and mucilage, these compounds work to hydrate, protect, and rejuvenate. They help maintain healthy circulation, aid liver detox, ease digestion, and encourage glowing, youthful skin. When extracted, its use in hair and skincare boosts collagen, strengthens strands, and tones the complexion.

Note: The finess (how small the particles are) of a botanical powder very much depends on the botanical in question. Certain botanicals, such as this one, cannot achieve a very fine powder grade. Rest assured however that the product has been ground to as fine a grade as is possible.
