This blend of sprouting seeds consists of Adzuki Beans, Alfalfa, Broccoli, Flax, Pumpkin, Radish, Sunflower Seeds and Wheat Kernels which are all particularly beneficial for male health in their own way. For instance; Pumpkin seeds contain high levels of zinc and Adzuki beans are full of Iron, Potassium and Folic Acid. Either enjoy this mix as a healthy snack on its own, or you can add it to your favourite food treats/dishes.

    Adzuki Botanical name: Vigna angularis

    Adzuki beans are a typical red-brown/ maroon bean shape with white eyes. This bean is native to East Asia and the Himalayan region, and is reported to have a high protein and relatively low fat content.

    Nutritional Value: This food is very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Phosphorus, Potassium and Copper, and a very good source of Dietary Fibre, Folate and Manganese.

    Broccoli  Botanical name: Brassica Oleracea

    Broccoli is a small, dark, typical brassica seed. It has a fairly strong flavour, so good to mix with other sprouts. Broccoli Sprouts are a renowned Superfood which is reported to boost the immune system. Famous for their antioxidant content, Broccoli sprouts contain approximately 50 x the sulforaphane found in mature broccoli by weight, therefore a handful of sprouts will give you more antioxidant value than one and a half kilos of fully grown broccoli. Broccoli also has the highest Lutein, Carotenoid and Beta Carotene content of all the sprouts.

    Nutritional Value: Broccoli is very low in Saturated Fat and Cholesterol, is a good source of Protein, Vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol), Thiamin, Riboflavin, Pantothenic Acid, Calcium, Iron, Manganese, Phosphorus and Selenium, and a very good source of Dietary Fibre, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Folate, Potassium and Manganese.

    Alfalfa (Lucerne)  Botanical name: Medicago Sativa (Pea Family)    also known as Lucerne in South Africa Alfalfa is a fine, golden coloured, quick sprouting seed and probably the best known sprout in health circles. It produces a deep green leaf  that has a delicious mild flavour plus great nutritional properties.

    Flax Botanical name: Linum usitatissimum  also know an Linseed

    Flax is a small, oval brown seed. Flax seed is an ancient cultivated crop from Mesopotamian times, grown for its oil seed and fibre. It's chewy seeds are packed full of nutrients, omega- 3 fatty acids, antioxidants, minerals, and essential vitamins.

    Nutritional Value: Contains Phosphorus, Selenium, Magnesium, Fibre, Manganese, vitamin B1m and is rich in Omega 3.

    Wheatgrass Botanical name: Triticum aestivum

    Wheat kernels are typical brown grass seeds. When grown as a microgreen and juiced, it is claimed to be a shot glass of health
