Essentially Natural Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a high molecular weight polysaccharide produced by fermentation on a non-GMO vegetable medium. In skin and hair care it is valued for long-lasting moisturising, soothing comfort and a soft, silky afterfeel. It helps improve the look of skin suppleness and smoothness and can support barrier-friendly routines. The water-soluble liquid integrates easily into gels, serums, lotions and cleansers at cool-down or heated phases. Versatile and gentle, it is suitable for leave-on and rinse-off formulas across face, body and hair.

Usage rate: 1 to 20 percent, typical 1 to 5 percent for leave-on skin care
Phase: Add to the water phase, hot or cold; mix until uniform
Solubility: Water, glycerin or up to 20 percent ethanol solution
pH: Supplied around 6.5 to 7.5; stable from pH 2 to 10
Charge: Anionic
Formulating tips: Combine with humectants for layered hydration and with light emollients for a cushioned finish
