Ascorbyl palmitate is an oil soluble and more stable form of Vitamin C. This makes it incredibly useful as it will not oxidise quickly like L-ascorbic acid, and it can be used in many other products that water soluble Vitamin C cannot - think oil serums, oil-based scrubs, anhydrous body balms, etc.

Usage
Typical usage: 0.2-2%
Oil soluble. Insoluble in water.
Dissolves into oil at 85C + but may not yield a completely clear oil product.
Can also be used in emulsions.
Formulation tip: include some lecithin to help dissolve the AP and also act as a skin penetration enhancer.
