Dried Marshmallow Root Powder is commonly used to treat infections, wounds, burns and scrapes, but it has other health benefits too.

Also commonly known as white mallow herb

  • Treat coughs and colds
  • Can help treat some digestive problems, including leaky gut syndrome and gastroesophageal reflux disease
  • It's anti-irritant properties and can help relieve itching, swelling, redness and dry/chapped skin
  • Can help reduce water retention and bloating
  • Can be used topically on the skin or as a drink (tip, infuse in cold water to preserve its full health benefits)
  • Roots: digestive system
  • Leaves: urinary system and lungs
  • Used as an ingredient in drawing ointments for abscesses and boils and as an emollient for varicose veins and ulcers. Also popular as a gargle to soothe the throat.
  • Infusion: root/ leaves: Cold infusion overnight 2–4g of root in 1 cup of cold water. Strain and drink 3 times a day.
  • Tincture: 1-4ml 3 times a day.

  • ROOTS: mucilage, traces of essential oil, pectin, asparagine, tannins
  • Do not use when pregnant. Marshmallow may delay absorption of drugs taken at the same time. Stay within recommended dosage.

I've been using the Marshmallow Root Powder to support my gut health, and I'm really happy with the results. I prepare it by letting it infuse in water overnight.
