Mandela Day 2025: Let’s Feed More Families, Together

Last year, your kindness helped us raise R13,500 — enough to serve 4,000 warm, nourishing meals in Fisantekraal. It was humbling. It was beautiful. It made a real difference.

This year, we’re doing it again — and we’re inviting you to be part of the magic!

Why this matters

Food isn’t just food. It’s comfort. It’s dignity. It’s the difference between surviving and feeling seen.

That’s why, this Mandela Day, we’re once again teaming up with Alletta's Soup Kitchen in Fisantekraal. With the funds we raise, she’ll cook, pack, and personally distribute every single meal to people in her community who need it most.

Our 2025 goal

We’re aiming to raise R6,700, which will provide 2,000 nutritious meals by the end of this year. Just R67 — in honour of Madiba’s 67 years of service — covers 20 nutritious, filling meals. And while R67 is our symbolic ask, truly: no donation is too small (or too big!).

Fisantekraal Primary’s “Garden of Faith” Playground

A school with thousands of bright young kids… and not a single working swing. We’re raising funds for sturdy new swing sets so the garden can remain a place of play, not just promise!

Alletta’s Soup Kitchen

Rain or shine, the community queues for a warm meal from Alletta’s kitchen. We would like to help build her a patio roof — a simple shelter that will offer comfort and dignity to those waiting in line.

Fisantekraal Animal Welfare Shop

Their shop funds vital rescue work and serves the surrounding community, but it’s in desperate need of some maintenance. We’re pitching in for roof repairs, better lighting, a sealed-off wall — and a bright new mural to make them easy to find (and hard to forget!).
