Fisantekraal Animal Welfare Charity Shop – Spring Update

The Fisantekraal Animal Welfare (FAW) charity shop is more than just a place to pick up a bargain — it’s a lifeline for both the neighbouring community and the animals it serves. For the people, it offers affordable clothing, homeware, and furniture, creating a space where locals can find exactly what they need. For the animals, every item sold contributes directly to the care and well-being of Fisantekraal’s furry residents.

Months after the initial refurbishment, the FAW shop is being beautifully maintained by Nonnie and her new assistant, Christine. We are continually impressed by how these two strong, kind women have shown up for Fisantekraal Animal Welfare and the surrounding community. Their pride and dedication are evident in every neatly arranged shelf and perfectly presented display.

Thanks to the incredible skill and generosity of Riaan Spangenberg of RMJ Constructive Solutions, the shop now boasts stunning new clothing railings, hand-crafted from metal. Since clothing is by far the most sought-after item, this upgrade has been a game-changer — and the response from shoppers has been amazing!

We also managed to repurpose a previously unused section of one of the containers to create a dedicated space for selling furniture. This addition has been unexpectedly fabulous, with second-hand furniture flying out the door faster than ever before!

The shop thrives entirely on donations from the public. With Spring just around the corner, we encourage you to keep FAW charity shop in mind during your Spring Cleaning. Gently used clothing, linen, homeware, and even furniture are all hugely appreciated, and every contribution makes a real difference.
