Umuthi Thyme (Winter Herb) Seeds grow hardy, fragrant plants with small, savoury leaves that hold their flavour in cooking. This perennial prefers full sun and very well-drained, lean soils, and stays compact in beds, rockeries and pots. A reliable kitchen standby for roasts, vegetables and stocks, with sprigs that dry well for the pantry.

How to use
- When to sow: After last frost
- Position: Full sun; low-fertility, well-draining sandy or rocky soil

- Water: Moderate; allow soil to dry slightly between waterings
- Germination: 14-28 days in suitable temperatures
- Harvest: 60-90 days; snip stems as needed. Regular light picking encourages bushy growth
Storage
Store seeds in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Reseal after opening.
