Umuthi Thyme (Winter Herb) Seeds grow hardy, fragrant plants with small, savoury leaves that hold their flavour in cooking. This perennial prefers full sun and very well-drained, lean soils, and stays compact in beds, rockeries and pots. A reliable kitchen standby for roasts, vegetables and stocks, with sprigs that dry well for the pantry.
♡ Why we love it: Tough, drought-leaning once established and richly aromatic. Easy to tuck into sunny spots and containers, and the flavour stands up to long cooking.
