What is a carrier oil?

Why do I need to dilute essential oils in a carrier oil?

Essential oils are highly concentrated and can cause skin irritation or sensitisation when applied undiluted. A carrier oil reduces the concentration to a safe level for topical use.

How do I choose the right carrier oil?
