Inulin is a prebiotic that supports the skin’s microbiome and skin-friendly bacteria which keep everything balanced. It offers moisturising properties, and is a natural humectant and conditioner.
Inulin is a food-grade plant-derived carbohydrate with a mild natural sweetness. It is commonly used in baking and food preparation to add body, improve texture and gently balance sweetness, particularly in reduced-sugar recipes. It is widely used in food as a sweetener and source of soluble fiber.
We love inulin primarily because it allows for a prebiotic in skincare. Using pre- and probiotics in skincare products is very on trend in the skincare industry currently.
