Winter is here, and the harsh cold air outside, combined with indoor heating, can strip the skin of its natural moisture, leaving it dry and sensitive. For many, this makes shaving a painful ordeal, leaving skin irritated and sensitive.
Traditional shaving creams and gels often contain alcohol and harsh chemicals that exacerbate this problem, causing redness, razor burns, and ingrown hairs. This is where a high-quality shaving cream becomes essential, and we have the perfect solution that's not only effective but also natural and soothing.
Here's why this blend is perfect for irritation-free shaving:
Pure Castile Liquid Soap: A gentle cleanser that is 100% natural, made from saponified vegetable oils and it contains no fragrances, colourants or preservatives. It creates a rich lather that helps the razor glide smoothly over the skin, reducing the risk of cuts and irritation.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine: provides a gentle, moisturising, and richly foaming lather that ensures a smooth, close shave while minimising irritation and dryness.
Frankincense Hydrosol: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, frankincense hydrosol soothes irritated skin and reduces redness, making it ideal for post-shave comfort.
Aloe Vera Liquid-Gel: Renowned for its healing and moisturising properties. It moisturises the skin, promotes healing of any nicks or cuts, has anti-inflammatory properties that calm irritated skin and prevents dryness.
Vegetable Glycerine: This humectant draws moisture into the skin and provides softening and lubricating benefits. It creates a protective barrier on the skin, keeping it hydrated during and after shaving, and combating the drying effects of winter air.
Jojoba Oil: Rich in essential vitamins, as well as antioxidants and fatty acids, jojoba oil helps soften the hair and provides deep hydration to the skin. It soothes irritation and prevents razor bumps and cuts by providing a protective layer between the skin and the blade.
Sweet Orange Essential Oil: With its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, sweet orange essential oil helps prevent infections from minor cuts and leaves a refreshing scent.
Lavender Essential Oil: Besides its lovely fragrance, lavender essential oil offers anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and astringent properties, making for a relaxing shaving experience.

Hi Mandy,
Thank you for your observation. You are correct, Yes! Geogard 221 does contain Benzyl Alcohol as part of its formulation. However, it’s important to note that Benzyl Alcohol in Geogard 221 acts as a preservative and differs significantly from the types of alcohols found in conventional shaving creams, which can dry out and irritate the skin.
Benzyl Alcohol is considered a gentle, skin-friendly preservative when used in appropriate concentrations. Unlike ethanol or other harsh alcohols, which are drying, Benzyl Alcohol does not have the same impact on skin hydration, especially when used correctly.
To avoid any confusion, we will revise the title to specify “free from drying alcohols.” Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
Kind Regards,
Cayla
Please clarify regarding heading ‘Natural, Alcohol-Free Shaving Cream for Smooth Shaves’?. It states alcohol-free while the ingredient Geogard221 contains Benzyl Alcohol.
