Pink Kaolin Clay or Rose Kaolin Clay is a naturally occurring, light pink coloured clay that is widely used in a number of DIY cosmetic recipes and face masks. Kaolin clay is a clay that has the mineral kaolinite as its principle constituent. Pink kaolin clay is rich in silica and is gentle and perfect for even the most sensitive skins. It restores moisture to the skin, cleanses impurities and lightly exfoliates.

EN staff tip: combine clay with a spoon of honey for a brightening, healing and moisturising facial mask.

    Pink Clay & Honey Facial Mask

    31%  honey

    29%  oat flour

    10%  pink kaolin clay

    20%  glycerine

    10% propanediol

    100ml jar

    Variations: if you don’t have oat flour, you could try  almond flour or  coconut flour.

    You could substitute more honey for the glycerine if you like.

    Ensure all your mixing bowls and utensils are clean and sterile before starting. Then measure out all the ingredients and blend together until well combined. Decant into the storage jar.

    To use, scoop some of the mask out with a spoon and apply to clean skin. You can brush on the mixture with a mask brush or simply use your fingers to massage in. Rinse off after 20 minutes and follow up with a moisturiser as you normally would. For more recipes read our blog on mineral clay masks for all skin types.
