Ferulic acid is a powerful antioxidant and antiager that can neutralise free radicals.
Ferulic acid is well known as a stabiliser for Vitamin C, particularly when combined with Vitamin E. Skinceuticals (now owned by L'Oreal) has a patented formulation on these ingredients (so don't try to copy it or you may have lawyers knocking on your door!).

How to use ferulic acid
Usage rate: 0.1-2%.
Ferulic acid is slightly soluble in hot water, so add it to your heated water phase in formulations. It may not completely dissolve but will dissolve once all phases are combined (if making a moisturiser for example).
Note: Ferulic Acid does have a characteristic scent that could impact the general smell of your formulation.
