Essentially Natural Batana Oil is a rich, cold pressed and unrefined oil derived from Elaeis oleifera , favoured in intensive hair care and skin conditioning routines where a heavier, more cushioning feel is preferred. It is especially popular in pre-shampoo treatments, hair-strengthening style routines, rich hair oils and targeted body care for very dry-feeling areas. This oil is oil soluble, not water soluble, and can partially solidify in cooler temperatures because of its naturally rich character.
♡ Why we love it: Batana Oil brings a deeply rich, concentrated feel that works especially well in intensive hair care and protective body care routines. It suits a more dedicated style of natural care and can be used neat in small amounts or softened with lighter carrier oils.

My customers love this oil, I have to purchase more today, my stock sold out in 2 days, your service is faultless, efficient and the pricing is fantastic
I love this product and my customers love it too, I get all my oils from essentially natural and you never disappoint.
Speak about growth in the 1st few days with my hairline is back to many more purchases.
It’s only been two weeks, so I can’t speak to hair growth yet…but my hair feels softer and moisturised after every use and I’m noticing a slight improvement on my melasma (I put a few drops on my face at night after cleansing). Overall very happy with my purchase! Delivery was super quick as well which I loved!
Using Essentially Natural Batana Oil for a few days now. Great for dry itching scalp. And I can already feel a difference in the condition of my hair, shine and manageability. Fuller hair when styling. This is going to be my monthly staple. Highly recommended.
The batana oil has helped my hair growth immensely!! I used it and could see my thickness returning in my hair and even got bottles for my mom and sisters. Great product, 10/10 recommend!!
I absolutely love this for my hair, besides assisting in hair growth I can also see some thickness around my edges. I bought from a different supplier previously but it's cheaper on Essentially Natural and the service is super fast. Thank you!
This stuff is amazing! It moisturizers my hair and it is doing my hair all the right things.
Early days but really excited for the promised results
Very smooth and hydrating on my scalp, I just started using it so I'm yet to see the results, but I'm happy so far!
My skin is in love!!!! I use this oil mainly for Skin & Anti-Aging it deeply HYDRATES dry skin and reduces WRINKLES & STRETCH MARKS. I know for a fact that it is high in squalene which boost collagen will definetly invest in another bottle or two!!!!!
I've been using this oil for about a month now, and ti be quite honest I was just giving it a try not really believing all the glowing reviews. I'm quite impressed. I suffer from alopecia and have been struggling to regrow my hair. I'm now seeing new hair on some of the bald patches, and hair that was thin and weak is now a bit thicker. I can't wait to see the progress after three months!
I have ordered and received batana oil, but the quality is very bad in comparison with the batana oil ordered from previous supplier. This one is very watery, light yellow, having a smell I cannot identify, it is mixed with other various oil which result in a very bad quality of batana oil. I will never order product from Essentially Natura.
Good morning Audette,
Thank you very much for your feedback — I’m truly sorry to hear that you’re not happy with the batana oil you received. That’s definitely not the experience we want you to have when shopping with us.
Batana oil is naturally thick and viscous, with a light yellow/brown colour. It isn’t scented, so the smell can be quite earthy or neutral — which may be different from versions that have been fragranced or mixed.
Please be rest assured that the oil we stock is pure and cold-pressed. I’d be happy to send through the Certificate of Analysis for the specific batch you received, so you can be assured of its quality and contents.
All of our products go through strict quality checks before being offered for sale, to ensure you can shop with confidence.
That said, we completely understand that sometimes a product just doesn’t meet personal expectations, so please know that we offer a generous 14-day return policy. If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, we’re more than happy to assist with a return.
Please let me know how you’d like to proceed, and if you’d like me to send through the analysis certificate.
Kindest regards,
Gabriella
Batana Oil has completely transformed my hair!I have been using it as a deep treatment once a week, and the results are amazing.I used to struggle with dryness and breakage, but now my strands feel nourished and stronger. This oil is now a staple in my haircare.I highly recommend!
I bought this product with the intention of growing and thickening my hair. I’ve only used it once so I can’t say much yet, but I’m 5 years postpartum and forgot what healthy, natural shining hair looks like. I have a natural gloss, not oily, and I can’t wait to see the added benefits in time.
It's only been 3 weeks my hairline is growing back and my afro looks full, what more can a woman asks for really. I'm satisfied with the results
I have been having excessive hair loss , I was desperately on the lookout for something to save my hair and a friend recommended batana oil, I wanted to get a natural batana oil and thought I’d try out essentially natural. WHAT A LIFE CHANGER ! this oil has changed my life , help restore my hair and my confidence. Within a week I notice a difference. My hair became thicker , stronger and the shine on her is gorgs! One of my colleagues bought batana oil from another company and man oh man what a scam ! I would highly recommend essentially natural. I would lay my life on the line if I have it to !
Batana oil has transformed my hair, leaving it noticeably shinier and healthier. It deeply nourished and repaired my hair before it was static and dry but now my strands feel softer and stronger. I highly recommend this miracle oil for anyone seeking a natural solution to hair care! I even used it on my toddler her hair shines so beautifully and I'm seeing growth after two weeks.
I expected the Batana oil to look like peanut butter. Or so it appeared in videos. Nevertheless, it's too early to say anything about its efficacy. Holding thumbs.
My customers loves it. From the earthy smell to growing the hairline back and thick hair. I have a bunch of happy women. This is my 3rd bottles of 500ml. Am very 🌸
I've been struggling with alopecia since 2023, and I've tried almost everything in the market to restore my hair back. Thanks to Batana oil my hair is growing back and it is thicker. This was my second 100 ML purchase. I wish Essentially Natural can make sure that the product doesn't run out of stock as I waited long for it to be back on stock.
This oil has just the right consistency for fast absorbtion. My eczema prone skin loves this oil. A little goes a long way
I have only been using this oil for a few days now but it really is worth all the commotion. I can't wait to see my progress after one month.
I bought this oil to help with maintaining my hairline because I braid my hair most of the time. At the time I had received my order, I had a braided hairstyle which was almost two months old. I was worried that the hairline would have receded badly, I started using the oil immediately on my hairline and scalp. I’ve now removed my braids and my hairline is intact, I’m taking a 2 week break then I’ll braid my hair again for the festive season.
This oil is potent, a little goes a long way. I did not mix the oil with any carrier oils etc, and it doesn’t have an overbearing smell
I have been using this product for about 2 weeks.I love the earthy smell and how lightweight it is.Vet pleased with this product. Will be making a hair balm as well.Thank you for awesome products and service 😀
hi i just ordered the batana oil and im planning to use it on my scalp how many times a week and can i sleep with it on over night?
Hi there Iman :)
Batana Oil can be a great for the scalp when used correctly!
For scalp use, consider starting use with 1–2 times per week and seeing how your scalp responds. A little goes a long way, so apply a small amount, massage it gently into the scalp, and focus on areas that feel dry or tight.
You can leave Batana Oil on overnight if your scalp tolerates it well. If you’re new to using it, you might want to start by leaving it on for 30–60 minutes and then washing it out, before progressing to overnight use. Everyone’s scalp is different, and heavier oils can feel too rich for some people if used too often.
Some people add other essential oils and carrier oils to the Batana Oil for additional benefits, like Pumpkin Seed Oil, Blackseed Kulanji Oil, Jamaican Castor Oil, Rosemary Essential Oil and Peppermint Essential Oil.
A few helpful tips:
- Warm the oil slightly before applying - this helps it spread more easily
- If leaving it on overnight, protect your pillowcase with a towel or old cotton cloth
- If you aren't fond of an oily scalp feel, wash out your scalp the next morning with a clarifying shampoo.
And as always, we recommend doing a patch test first, especially if you have a sensitive or reactive scalp.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask - we’re happy to help <3
Warm regards,
Aiden
Can you use this oil directly on the scalp or does it need to be mixed/diluted with another oil
Hi Athraa 🌿
Thank you for your question!
Yes, batana oil can be used directly on the scalp. It’s a rich, nourishing oil traditionally used to promote hair growth and improve scalp health. Many people apply it straight to the scalp and hair as a treatment.
However, because it has a thick texture and a distinctive natural scent, some prefer to mix it with a lighter oil such as coconut, jojoba, or argan oil for easier application and to personalise the feel and fragrance.
Whether used on its own or blended, batana oil makes a wonderful addition to your haircare routine!
