Irish Moss Cut is a dried sea moss from Chondrus crispus , also known as carrageen moss, traditionally used in food, herbal preparations, skincare and haircare. When simmered, it releases a mucilaginous gel that gives body, slip and soothing texture to drinks, gels and DIY formulations. Irish moss is naturally rich in minerals, including iodine, and is traditionally used for dry cough comfort, throat comfort, digestive soothing and mineral-rich tonic routines. In cosmetic use, its gel is valued for hydration, softness, slip and a light film-forming feel in rinse-off skin and hair preparations.

Early days

I tried to get the jelly texture but failed, u ended up with bits of moss at the bottom of the jar and a very slippery liquid. I think to much water and my immersion blender rather than my herb chopper. I wanted to use it as a supplement. I will, however, persevere.
