D-Panthenol gel is naturally derived from Vitamin B5 and is simply fabulous in natural hair care and skincare products. It is deeply conditioning and softening, and lends a wonderful skin and hair feel to products.

In skincare, panthenol acts as a moisturizer and humectant by drawing water from deeper layers of the skin into the upper layers of the skin, giving a plumper and more hydrated look and feel. It helps with softness and elasticity, and stimulates skin re-generation.

In hair care, panthenol is able to penetrate the hair strands, providing hydration and increasing elasticity, reducing static, dryness and breakage, and making hair shinier, softer and more conditioned.

How to use d-panthenol gel

0.5-1% for natural hair care and skincare formulations, added to the cool down phase.

D panthenol is a very viscous gel. The easiest way to work with it is to scoop some our the container with a spatula and dissolve in a little water. If required the water may be heated for easier dissolving.
