If like me, you are a coffee snob, there can be nothing more tantalising than the aroma of freshly brewed coffee!
Coffee Arabica was first cultivated over 1000 years ago in Ethiopia and for this, those ancient farmers have my eternal gratitude! Not content to be the world's favourite breakfast beverage, the coffee plant has also gifted us with its incredible bean oil packed with healing and cosmetic benefits. When it comes to natural remedies and beauty essentials, few ingredients rival the versatility of coffee bean oil. It has been used for centuries in perfume, cosmetics and aromatherapy.
Skin Salvation:
Its antioxidant-rich profile not only shields the skin from environmental stressors and free radicals but also tackles concerns like acne and inflammation or redness. Coffee oil promotes the production of collagen and safeguards against premature aging. Whether you're aiming for a healthy, glowing complexion or bidding farewell to pesky dark circles, coffee oil offers a holistic solution.
Hair Revival:
As winter approaches, say goodbye to lacklustre locks and itchy scalps. Coffee oil penetrates quickly and deeply, fortifying and conditioning each strand from within. The stimulating essence of coffee oil invigorates the scalp, promoting healthier growth and potentially reducing hair loss.
Aromatherapeutic Bliss:
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee is not just a great smell; it is a mood enhancer and soothing to the senses. Whether you're seeking relaxation after a long day or a boost of energy to kickstart your morning, coffee oil delivers beautifully.
Health and Healing:
Beyond the many cosmetic benefits, coffee oil is also noted for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and flavonoid properties making it a popular choice in natural health remedies. Its anti-inflammatory prowess soothes aching muscles and joints, offering relief when you need it most. Moreover, it is an appetite stimulant and a digestive aid… hence the customary cup of java after a meal.
DIY Delights:
Coffee oil lends itself to endless formulations, paving the way for personalised skincare and wellness creations. From luxurious body butters to invigorating scrubs, the possibilities are endless. Let your creativity run wild as you harness the restorative power of coffee oil to craft bespoke beauty products.
In essence, coffee oil isn't just an ingredient; it's an extremely useful and versatile staple to add to your beauty routine or your formulations. So, next time you sip on your favourite brew, make sure you complete the experience with a dash of coffee oil in your cosmetic formulations or massage oils.

Hi Penny,
You would not need to but I definitely understand the confusion!
Caffeine Powder is highly alkaline, that’s why (like you rightly pointed out) you would need to pay keen attention to your formulations pH when using Caffeine Powder
But
Coffee Bean Oil does not contain significant amounts of caffeine and is generally pH neutral. Hence the oils effect on pH generally being negligible.
That being said, it is always a good idea to pay attention to your Formulations pH.
I hope that helps!
Best Wishes,
Aiden
Hi. When adding coffee bean oil to formulations, do you need to adjust the ph as you do when adding caffeine powder?
