This is a classic daily moisturiser that is just the perfect amount of hydration for the skin. It is non-greasy, absorbs fast, and leaves the skin feeling great for hours afterwards.
The Montanov 68 is a specialised emulsifier that acts as a moisturiser and provides moisture to the skin for hours after application. It prevents transepidermal water loss in the skin, which is a great property to have in a face cream, especially in the drier winter months.
Avocado butter adds some deep moisturising and conditioning properties.
And actives of aloe vera, D panthenol, Vitamin E and niacinamide really boost the formula.
Give it a try!

Hi Vee :)
Normally when adding Aloe Vera Liquid Gel, it is recommended to be within a 10% range. This is to provide beneficial properties without compromising your shampoos stability (i.e. preservatives) or performance.
The Safest Range (with regards to performance) would be:
1. 1% (would be 6ml of Aloe Vera Liquid Gel)
2. 3% (would be 18ml of Aloe Vera Liquid Gel)
3. 5% (would be 30ml of Aloe Vera Liquid Gel)
For more effective but possibly impacting consistency:
4. 10% (would be 60ml of Aloe Vera Liquid Gel)
This should be more moisturizing and soothing. I would suggest that you do a small batch test: Mix a small amount of your shampoo base with the Aloe Vera Liquid Gel and try it out to see how it feels on the hair and scalp, how well it cleanses, and whether it affects the lather.
This will give you a good indication of how the final product will perform.
Remember the formula : total mls x desired percentage = Additional percentage
Eg : 600ml x 0.05 (i.e. 5%) = 30ml
Best of Luck and Let us know how it turns out!
How much of the Gel can I add in my shampoo base of 600ml
Yes i will let you know how it turned out. I will use mango butter, as i don’t have avo butter yet. Thanks a lot!!
Hi Ruanda, you can try substituting the xanthan gum for guar gum and you can try Emulsifier HP 30 or Olive M as a substitute for the Montanov. I haven’t tried these substitutions before so let us know how it goes!
I want to make your recipe for the moisturiser, but the montanov 68 MB are out of stock at the moment and also the eco wax. Any alternatives that i can use?
