INCI: Nicotinamide

Essentially Natural Niacinamide is the active form of Vitamin B3 and is also sometimes referred to as nicotinamide. It is a common ingredient in skincare formulations for its many benefits, including treating hyperpigmentation, regulating sebum production, reducing fine lines and water loss in the skin, as well as its anti aging and anti inflammatory properties, amongst others.

Add to the water phase of your formulation. Niacinamide works best at a pH close to 6, so you may need to adjust the pH of your formulation to fit within the pH parameters. In very acidic formulations it can break down to niacin which may be irritating to some.

Phospholipids such as soy lecithin may improve niacinamide bioavailability.

Usage: 1-6% pH: 6.2 Soluble in water and ethanol, dissolvable in glycerine
