Detox and boost vitality with stinging nettle. Native to North Africa, Europe, and temperate parts of Asia - particularly along riverbanks - nettle is now cultivated worldwide. Traditionally, a tea made from the leaves was taken to soothe muscle pain, support natural detoxification, reduce allergies, and clear eczema and acne from within. In herbal philosophy, the condition of the skin often reflects the health of the internal system.
♡ Why we love it: Stinging nettle herb is brimming with compounds that benefit both inner wellness and cosmetic care. Key nutrients include vitamins A, C, K, and several B vitamins, along with iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, silica, and flavonoids like quercetin. It also contains phenols like ferulic acid, plus tannins, chlorophyll, carotenoids, and amino acids. Together, these all reinforce nettle’s traditional reputation for boosting kidney health, supporting the urinary tract, easing joint stiffness and inflammation, vitality and promoting hair, skin, and nail health. Its mineral content also helps counter seasonal allergies and hay fever.
While it’s excellent for cleansing the system and supporting clear skin from the inside out, nettle extract is also great for cosmetics - soothing the skin, tightening pores, toning, and infusing skincare blends with antioxidants and minerals. In haircare, nettle is traditionally used to support fuller-looking, stronger-feeling hair and to help balance an oily or dandruff-prone scalp, making it a popular addition to natural shampoos and conditioners.
