Detox and restore vitality with stinging nettle powder. Originally from North Africa, Europe, and temperate parts of Asia - thriving in moist areas like riverbanks - nettle is now widely cultivated. Traditionally, a warm nettle tea was used to ease muscle aches, aid natural detoxification, calm allergies, and support clearer skin by addressing acne and eczema from within. Herbal wisdom often teaches that the skin reflects the body's internal state.
♡ Why we love it: Stinging nettle is loaded with beneficial compounds for both health and skincare. It’s a natural source of vitamins A, C, K, and various B vitamins, plus iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, silica, and quercetin-rich flavonoids. It also contains phenols like ferulic acid, along with tannins, chlorophyll, carotenoids, and amino acids. These work together to uphold nettle’s traditional uses for kidney support, urinary wellness, easing inflammation and stiffness, boosting vitality, and supporting hair, skin, and nail health. Its mineral content also makes it useful for seasonal allergy support.
Beyond internal benefits, nettle extract is loved in cosmetics for its soothing, toning, pore-tightening and antioxidant-rich qualities. In haircare, it’s relied on to support fuller-looking hair, strengthen scalp health, and help balance oiliness or dandruff - a natural favourite in herbal shampoos and rinses.
