Angelica root is a highly cherished herbal medicine that has withstood the test of time due to its warming properties and aroma. Colloquially known as the “Herb of Angels”, this mighty root is renowned for its use in supporting digestion, circulation, respiratory health and even sometimes used to flavour alcoholic beverages. This is largely due to its high concentration in rewarding compounds like coumarins and essential oils - making it irreplaceable in herbal wellness blends and tonics.
♡ Why we love it: Angelica root and stem has been revered for centuries for its use in helping digestion, soothing bloating and promoting general gut ease. The way it warms the body also makes it a favourite for clearing congestion, easing seasonal allergies and promoting vitality. Angelica root extract is also a major boost in formulations - as it is antibacterial, stimulates circulation, which can promote a brighter, more even skin tone and also helps reduce inflammation, making it a great option for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

I can't speak for all batches, but the Angelica root that I have just bought is very aromatic and strong tasting, which indicates a strong medicinal effect. Actually I think this is the best Angelica I've ever had. I am using it to balance female hormones, and specifically for menopausal hot flushes, which, I just realised today, I haven't had for several weeks. Drinking a strong decoction of this Angelica root twice, sometimes 3 times a day. (Along with liquorice root from the same supplier, which is also excellent quality). Thanks so much
