Alfalfa is a boon for health, brimming with nutrients and prized in traditional herbal medicine for boosting vitality. Jam-packed with nutrients, Alfalfa is a great source of vitamins A, C, E, and K, as well as calcium, magnesium and iron. It can also be used to make a mild and earthy herbal tea filled with these same nutrients and renowned for being a source of chlorophyll and antioxidants - making it highly beneficial in homemade wellness blends.
♡ Why we love it: Alfalfa tea is adored for assisting in digestion, promoting detoxification and boosting overall wellness. The herbal tea also helps reduce cholesterol, is mildly diuretic and contains phytoestrogens - making it great at supporting hormonal balance for women. Its extracts are commonly used in skincare and, due to their high vitamin content, are a powerhouse in collagen production, revitalising skin and reducing oxidative stress. Alfalfa extract also helps fortify the skin barrier, keeping it hydrated and resilient.
