Cape Camomile, often called African Chamomile, is a therapeutic grade essential oil that has amazing anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-allergic and antidepressant properties. Can used to treat depression and anxiety as well as help with sleeping problems. Physically it is used to treat muscle pain associated with rheumatism, arthritis, back pain and neuralgia.

How to use
- Make your own massage blend when treating back pain, neuralgia, rheumatism, etc.
- Add to unscented bath salts, shampoo or conditioner.
- Use a drop with Aqueous cream to sooth irritated skin.
- Add a few drops to a little water in one of our oil burners to relax and unwind.

Extraction
Steam distilled from the rare, aromatic shrub (kapok bush) that bears bright white ray flowers. It is mostly found in the remote mountain areas in the south Western Cape. Its aroma is wonderfully sweet and its colour varies from greenish to blueish depending on season, climate and soil conditions.
Essential oils and the chakras
For the Throat Chakra (Vishudha), choose essential oils that balance the emotions and improve communication & self-expression. When your emotions are in balance you are more able to accept your limitations, thus promoting spiritual patience. Any of the camomile oils German, Roman or Cape will suit this purpose. Peppermint and/or eucalyptus are helpful for clearing sinuses and thereby clearing communication channels
