INCI: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis

The national flower of several countries, including Malaysia and Haiti, Hibiscus is as versatile as it is vibrant. It’s been extracted for centuries as a natural colourant, a tea for internal health, and even as a haircare rinse. A mainstay in herbal medicine traditions - like Ayurveda and Chinese medicine - “sour tea” is native to East Asia. There they were relied on to support cardiovascular health, stabilise blood pressure, and promote liver function. The tangy teas were also used externally in skincare and hair rinses to boost shine, reduce dandruff, boost growth and calm irritation.

♡ Why we love it: Hibiscus makes one of the most brightly coloured teas out there, making it a favourite in natural colourants and as a decorative botanical for table settings, DIY cards, and gifts. It’s also dense in active compounds like anthocyanins (which give that rich hue and pack antioxidant power), flavonoids, gentle acids like citric and malic acid, vitamin C, and even mucilage - great for hydration. These actives combined help protect cells from damage, support a youthful glow, lowers blood pressure, boost circulation, enhance liver detoxification, and soothe digestion. When used in skin and haircare, Hibiscus promotes collagen production, boosts hair strength and shine, and reduces redness and irritation.

Size: 100g.
