Get your hands on one of the most well-known “womb tonics” and gentle digestive allies.

Red Raspberry is a thorny shrub native to Europe and North Asia, now grown widely across the world. While its berries get most of the attention, herbalists have long prized the leaf as a pleasant-tasting, classic tonic herb. It became a favourite among midwives for supporting women at every stage of life - from menarche (a girl’s first period) through pregnancy and into menopause. It also served as a gentle digestive aid and tissue astringent, often used in teas or extracts for mouth, throat, and gut comfort.

♡ Why we love it: Red Raspberry’s traditional reputation is supported by its rich phytochemistry. The leaves contain tannins, fragarine, and antioxidant flavonoids and phenols like quercetin, kaempferol, and ellagic acid, along with vitamins and minerals - especially vitamin C, vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, and zinc - giving it a solid place as a nourishing tonic with a flavour reminiscent of black tea.
These compounds support its role as a womb tonic, traditionally used to help tone uterine muscle fibres so they contract and relax more efficiently - contributing to a more balanced, comfortable menstrual cycle. It was frequently included in blends for easing PMS, menstrual discomfort, and encouraging a steady flow. The tannins and flavonoids also make it helpful for loose bowels, throat gargles, tissue support, and boosting overall vitality.

For skincare, raspberry leaf extract works beautifully in calming, toning, and antioxidant-rich formulations. The tannins help refine and tighten the appearance of pores, offering a firmer, more lifted feel, while the other phytonutrients soothe, comfort, and protect - ideal for sensitive, stressed, or maturing skin.

NOTE: While generally considered safe in normal pregnancy when used responsibly, evidence for outcomes like shorter labour is still limited and mixed. It’s best used under guidance from a midwife or healthcare provider.

Sizes: 200g, 500g, 1kg.
