Glycolic acid is a member of the alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) family, and is the smallest AHA molecules, allowing it to penetrate deeper into the skin.
It is commonly used as a toner and chemical peel in concentrations of around 10% for home use, and 20-80% for use by a dermatologist.
Glycolic acid can improve the texture and appearance of skin, exfoliating the top layers of the epidermis, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scarring, hyperpigmentation and various other skin conditions.

How to use glycolic acid
Glycolic acid is best for normal, oily and combination skins; dry and sensitive skins may react. But it's best to consult with your dermatologist and test.
Always dilute glycolic acid 70% down to a suitable concentration: 5-10% is good for everyday use, and up to 30% for once a week use. Discontinue if you experience irritation.
Apply in the evening as it can make skin sensitive. Apply SPF the next day.
Glycolic acid can be used three ways: as a face wash, toner or mask. You can use it either as a face wash or toner daily, and then as a face mask once per week. In face washes and toners, glycolic acid is used at a concentration of 8-10%, while masks and peels have higher concentrations.
Glycolic acid can be combined with other acids and retinoids only if your skin can handle it. Please consult your dermatologist.

You always scared to order online but with the Essentially nature I felt secure with my email notifications and tracking of the product. The service is amazing & I only waited one day for my product to arrive! The product is doing wonders for my skin! 🙂
I won't lie, initially I was really hesitant to buy this product due to its high concentration and my very, very limited knowledge on formulations etc. Although this was my first exposure to products, concentrated and such, the blog posts and directions on how you can make the most out of the products purchased allowed me to feel confident and actually integrate thos very concentrated acid to my skincare. Once again, this too was a banger! I've toyed with it on my darkest areas (knees, elbows, knuckles, toes...you name it) and wow, my skin is now mostly even and cohesive with the rest of my body, this has restored in me the confidence to wear clothes that show off these previously covered areas.
I bought this to use occasionally on my body and I can safely say it is doing the exfoliating work i bough it for well.
My clients love the product. Works well.
This product has made my skin much softer since I started using it once a week about 3 weeks ago. I use it at around 17% concentration. My skin has tolerated it quickly, however I was on 1.5% retinol prior to this. Grateful for accessible prices, but more so for your kind and excellence of service.
