Fisantekraal playground update: Artificial lawn installed!

The playground at Fisantekraal Primary School, or "The Garden of Faith" as we've lovingly dubbed it, has taken a giant leap forward! Thanks to the incredible kindness of donors and the hard work of our team, the space has been transformed with the addition of an artificial lawn.

This was made possible by the Fick Family, who thoughtfully donated the lawn; Klapmuts Concrete, who provided the retaining wall blocks; Jacques Gelderblom from Living Gardens, who supplied crusher dust; and the Kellys, whose ongoing support has turned so many dreams into reality over the past year. Special thanks also go to James, Sydney, and Kefasi, whose dedicated hands-on work brought this vision to life. Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re planting seeds of hope and creating something beautiful for generations to come.

As the Greek proverb says, “A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.” While we patiently wait for our trees to grow, we’re dreaming of adding shade nets over the artificial lawn and other areas in the garden. These would provide much-needed relief on hot days on the playground, as well as creating a cool, inviting outdoor classroom for the learners when indoor spaces become too warm. If you feel inspired to help make this dream a reality, we would love your support in bringing much-needed shade to this growing oasis!
