INCI: Citrus aurantium bergamia Peel Oil

Essentially Natural Bergamot Essential Oil (standardised) is expressed from the peel of the bergamot orange and prized for its bright, citrusy aroma with a soft floral edge. In aromatherapy it is often selected to create an uplifting, relaxed atmosphere in diffusers, bath blends and body products. Perfumers value it as a fresh top note that bridges beautifully into woods and herbs. This standardised oil offers a consistent scent profile for reliable results in home and professional formulations.

♡ Why we love it: Fresh, sunny and effortlessly mood-lifting, bergamot adds sparkle to blends without harshness. It teams beautifully with lavender, rosemary and woods for clean, modern aromas. A small amount transforms everyday bath and body recipes into spa-like treats.

EN Staff Tip: Due to its potency it is advised to first dilute with carrier oil like, (jojoba or sweet almond oil) before applying to skin.

About Standardised Essential Oils

Standardised essential oils are produced to achieve a standard scent, whereas a single species essential oil may vary in scent because it is an individual plant species that can naturally vary with season, rainfall, soil quality, geography and a variety of other factors. Standardising the scent by combining multiple species is a method of producing an oil that will always be similar in quality. Standardised oils can therefore be quite beneficial when scent reliability is required.

Standardised essential oils are pure essential oils which have not been diluted, filled or altered in any way. The only differentiating factor between standardised essential oils and others is that multiple variations of plant species are distilled.
